NSFW Episode 15: The Donald, Goat Poo, Swagger

Can't believe its been 15 episodes. Congrats on the weight loss, keep up the good work.

Also, is that a scratch or a bead of water on Eddies camera?

Thanks. I've been trying to figure that out and, near as I can tell, it's a reflection off my sunglasses that has something to do with my backlighting. If I move away from the center of the camera, it goes away. I'll concentrate on that more in the future, because I know it's pretty distracting.

I wish I could have seen Trump at CPAC 2011. I'm a little surprised he was there--usually only actual conservatives are invited to CPAC, not guys who give 5 figures to Rahm Emanuel's campaign for mayor.

On a side note, I was at CPAC 2010. I've never seen so many insanely hot girls in my life in one place. Just ridiculously hot girl after ridiculously hot girl.

A fine episode, gentlemen. NSFW has really enlivened the WSO experience for me and many other monkeys. It makes me feel good remembering when there was a poll question on: "Would you be open to a weekly video series in which Eddie and Midas argue about relevant economic topics?"

Have a great week!

Thanks a bunch, I am really glad to hear that. But I have to wonder...if we had promised Eddie 98% naked from the get-go would his Playboy interview have been a segue to a Playgirl centerfold?

Eddie could be in Playgirl anytime he wants; he's just so modest he doesn't want to admit it.

By the way, I noticed that you didn't discuss the Wisconsin situation in this week's episode--I thought both of you guys would be all over it! Guess I'll have to wait till next week...

down on the upside:
if regan (an Actor) could become one of the most revered presidents America has ever seen, Im sure Trump has a decent chance of getting elected.

Ronald Reagan was HIGHLY politcally active for about 40 years prior to his election, where he was president of the Screen Actors Guild (and a virulent anti-Communist), a famous corporate spokeman, and then governor of the largest state in the union, California. I believe Reagan even gave a keynote address at the 1964 Republican National Convention. Not to mention that Reagan built a Republican coalition beginning in 1976 where he almost knocked off incumbent president Gerald Ford in the Republican primary.

Trump has all of zero support in the Republican party and virtually no political history.

For what it's worth, I was fairly politically aware during the 1980 election, and I can tell you that no one thought of Reagan as an actor any more by then. A lot of people thought his divorce would sink his candidacy (he was previously married to Jane Wyman) but even that had happened long enough ago that it didn't effect him. He was generally well regarded as a former governor of California (my home state at the time, so I should know).

Plus Carter was just terrible.

If you have never seen this speech, I would highly recommend you watch it. If you've already seen it, watch it again as a nice refresher. It is almost scary how you can take what Reagan said in this 47 year old speech and apply to exactly what is going on today.

Awesome as always, thank you gentlemen.

Midas, you have given me two quotes I'm going to work into conversation tomorrow: "If this guy did become president, no one could ever collect on the debts" and "I see the future, I see a judge, with a check in his hands...."

Congrats on the weight loss Eddie. Not that you need it, but this may help: build muscle, it burns fat just to feed itself. Also, I'm curious what your drink of choice is during these episodes....my guess is Jameson. Inquiring minds want to know.

I'm with Pfalzer in wanting to know what you guys think of the Wisconsin situation but also compared to the situation in NY where it's less about ideology and more about dealmaking. Is one method better? Just an aside: these and the revolutions in the ME are not linked, but their timing is ironic, don't you think?
