Here's a brief background. BSBA-Finance from non-target, MSF from semi-target/regional-target. Been working in corp dev (M&A) for about a year now for a company in consolidating industry, and thus we have seen a very steady deal flow and I've gotten a ton of awesome experience. I've also been passively involved in some of the investor relations activities (esp leading up to quarterly earnings release/calls) and have developed relationships with a number of ER Analysts.

So here are my questions:

1.) What is the best way to attack ER? And is there a typical recruiting period (like banking) or is it pretty steady all year?

2.) Would it be appropriate to reach out to the Analysts I have developed professional relationships with?
