Paulson white shirts.
Most of my clothing shopping is done online since its usually cheaper. I have no problems ordering most clothes but there seems to be a problem with dress shirts.
I have three brands currently in my wardrobe; calvin klein, donald j. trump, and geoffrey beene. The trump shirt is silk and doesn't have that see through effect like the other two(similar to Paulson when he was giving the TARP speech).
So my question is....
where can I find decently priced dress shirts(typical solid white and blues) for under $30-40?
Note** college student so i'm not willing to spend $150/shirt.

Go to Macys. You'll find a ton of shirts for 30-40 bucks.
Do not wear silk dress
Do not wear silk dress shirts to work. Also, if you are not in a rush, you can wait for sales at places like brooks brothers and get 3 shirts for around 130.
Ralph lauren was having a
Ralph lauren was having a sale not to long ago. You can't go wrong with ralph.
Charles Tyrwhitt is having a
Charles Tyrwhitt is having a pretty good sale now on their new line - four shirts for $199. A bit above the $30-40 price tag, but the shirts are really, really nice and usually cost somewhere between $150-225.

haha.. i fell for their sale once too. Then i realized they have sales 24/7 and the sale price is their original price... the quality sucks...
You think their quality
You think their quality sucks? Really? All the shirts I've gotten from there are pretty top notch. One is a bit thin, but they wash and press well - certainly better than nearly all other shirts you'll find for $50.
Brooks Bros
Looked online and they had tons of shirts that were reg. $150+ for $34-$60 bucks. Both solid whites to Gecko-esq styles.

ralph lauren is great too but a little more on the casual side.
this should be in the "Attire/Clothing" topic instead of ibanking bullpen
Charles Tyrwhitt has sales
Charles Tyrwhitt has sales year round. I have a few shirts from there. They aren't bad considering the price. Not the best quality but it does the job.
NEVER wear contrast collar
NEVER wear contrast collar style shirts to work ("gecko-esq", ie blue shirts with white collars)
to the OP, check out Rajawongse (http://www.dress-for-success.com/). get your measurements taken locally then send it in to them and get custom made shirts for ~$40 that are top notch. if you prefer to buy in person, check out Century 21 in NYC down by wall st.
i also 2nd never wearing
i also 2nd never wearing silk shirts to work, trump is crap, the others are fine.
Brooks Brothers
My advice though on the see though effect you describe is a) don't wear see through shirts to work.
But, if you do find you're still getting the effect, wearing a grey (not white) wife beater underneath your shirt will fix it perfectly.
