Honestly, I wouldn't spend money on either of those watches. If you get something a bit more expensive you can get a much better timepiece that will last you much longer. Montblanc has some very nice looking watches, but they aren't watchmakers--it doesn't make sense to buy one of their pieces. The timewalker looks like a replica Chopard, if you like the look get the real thing. Or get yourself a Cartier Tank--a much better watch that will last you longer. If you don't want to spend that much, I would advise you go for a Baume & Mercier. Not as much doe as a Cartier or Chopard but still a very fine timepiece that will last you.

I like the rolex, but I'm only 21 years old. I think its kind of snobby for someone my age to have a rolex.

i like the Mont Blanc you mentioned. However, If you are looking at the <5000 range, I would personally go with a Cartier Santos 100, or an omega sport watch. try jomashop.com that's where I get my watches.

any problem with a first year wearing a black and stainless submariner?

anyone hear of any problems resulting with a first year wearing a too nice of watch? i have a 4 year old tag chrono. thinking about going up though.

Tag would be cool. Group I worked for over the summer were all watch obsessed and one intern had a rolex on and they loved it.
