I wear black wayfarers...but I'm a hipster.
Actually, such common and cliche fashion-sense would make EXACTLY make him a hipster.
Black is cool.
LOUIS GUCCI FENDI
But it cost too much.
I wear raybans. Always have and probably always will.
Costas, Persol, Prada, Ray Bans...
Persol
what makes you think they ever see the sun?
What's the sun?
I think its some mystical creature that makes plants grow.
Oliver Peoples', seriously...
Versace's version of "wayfarers". Carrera's "slimmed down" aviators. Ralph Lauren Wire frames.
new wayfarer - better IMO
Yup, RB2132s in tortoise with polarized lenses
Whatever you wear make sure they are polarized
Warbry Parkers, cause I'm a finance hipster
All of your are i-bankers?
No, im actually wearing a denim skirt, thigh highs, hoop earings and chugging nuts for $5 a pop down by the holland tunnel... aka pwm.
That is what I figured
.
Not English. Pls fix.
Ray Ban's. You can't go wrong with them.
I'm not cool enough to wear sunnies :(
I always wear costas. Ray Bans and Maui Jims are nice though.

Celine, Ray-Ban, Prada
Costa Del Mar and Ray-Ban
but I'm a petroleum engineer, not an i-banker
this post is now void.
Persols... Will never wear anything else.
I have Oakley Juliet, Splinter, whisker, Radar Range, M-frame and the Half-X.
really good quality frames and plenty options for the lenses (color, material, tech)
Which brand of sunglasses are the best? (Originally Posted: 12/26/2011)
A monkey's gotta look good, ya know? I'm searching for a new pair of high quality glasses/sunglasses. Any suggestions? What are your favorite brands? Which ones are the best?
Oliver Peoples
depends on your budget and face cut, i go for Oakley's and ray bans..if you got mullah tom ford looks pretty rad imo
Check out Kaenon's is you are looking for something a little sportier. I prefer them to Oakley's.
It's all personal preference. I have a buddy who swears by Persols and another who loves his Maui Jims. Two of my friends swear by their Raybans. Personally, I like Oakeys. You go with what looks right on you.
raybans....never failed me
costa del mar
If you are buying something expensive (150+) it doesn't really matter as 95% of upper market brands are owned by luxicota anyways.
This basically every brand of expensive sunglasses is made by the same company. I have some O's now, I've also had Ray Bans and considering getting some Maui Jim's...they are all the same...All one is paying for is the name, so go with what you like.
http://www.luxottica.com/en/brands/house_brands/
Buy them for the quality of their lens, not their brand name. I personally wear Costa del Mar with the 580 lens and my wife wears Maui's. They are both very good.
Barton Perreira
Persol
I got some bitchin aviators for $8 from ebay shipped. Still going strong a year later.
^^Black, I didn't see Maui Jim's on that list.
Oakley's and Ray Bans are super gay and are mainly purchased by people who have never been to a beach.
Depending on your style, Costa del mars, MJs, Electrics are cool, a little cheaper option is Natives... I personally like Hobie's best right now
Make sure you get polarized lenses
Adapt, when you consider that Oakleys are the official sunglasses of the Men's and Women's US Olympic Beach Volleyball Team, I'd be pretty hard pressed to agree with your statement. Not just that, don't they make sunglasses for surfers too? Hell, aren't most of what they are known for made for all sorts of outdoor wear and sports use anyways? So... scratch that one.
The Ray-Bans? I got nothing there... The two most famous models they make (the Aviators and the Wayfarers) were never designed for beachwear.
I wasn't being literal, so don't get too heated over there in your half jackets with iridium lenses.
Just the fact that you pointed out they are the official sunglasses of the Men's and Women's volleyball teams shows how cheese they are. I can't imagine anyone wearing them that wasn't being paid to do so.
I life guarded a popular beach for years and to guards and surfers alike for the most part Oakley's were persona non grata. You'd see a kid rock them occasionally but usually it was a rookie you'd be hazing in a pair of these:

add the MLB..basically all outfielders wear Oakley's... a few wear Nike...Also snow sports... the likes of Shawn White... Oakley's not exactly sure what you're getting at.
You're missing the point completely (Frieds gets what I'm saying I think). I realize that Oakleys are great for extreme athletics or tactical/military purposes. All I'm saying is that they're not cool at all in my opinion. You also just named more people who are paid to wear them. Since you brought up baseball, I don't know if you played or not, but if you did you'd know that one of the top brands of glove out there is Nokona. Every glove is handmade of various kinds of leather. No one in MLB wears them even though they're nicer than any Rawling glove I've ever used. Nokona does not pay players to wear they're gloves to my knowledge and are a small company out of Texas.
Getting back to the sunglasses, to me Oakleys are just not stylish/cool in any way. They remind me of the type of sunglasses someone in Nebraska would walk into a Sunglass Hut and buy. I'm trying suggest some brands the OP might not see in a main stream retailer dominated by Oakley and Ray Ban.
I've got a pair of Whiskers and M-Frames. Get it right...
Now, I suppose they have some cheese to 'em. Then again, Oakley also sponsors how many other Athletes and has one of the most commonly seen frames used by the Military and police forces (The M-Frame). All I am saying is that they are a brand known for sports and athletic use.
Oh, and those are ugly! Those are just disgusting. I shudder at the thought of possibly knowing someone who owns those.
Wayfarers are dope. If you don't look good in them, you will never look good in anything.
If you are going the luxicotta route get some Persols, RB Wayfares are cool but I see way too many hippies/ indie people wearing them.
The truely ironic part of that is that Wayfares are a pop culture icon. Truely ironic indeed.
Spend the buckson opium online sunglassess , they make in my opinion the best glass out there.
Heard some good things about Shades Club, they are pretty cheap too.
If you're trying to be fashion forward and professional then I highly suggest Persols. They are italian and have a really sick accent to them people respect. I get asked all the time where I bought mine
Oakley is a big name when it comes to good sunglasses makers . I am a big fan of baseball and I am using Oakley men's Radar Ev Shield. This is an excellent sunglasses from them that not only will shade your eyes nicely when playing baseball but will also help you look good while doing it. The lens color on these glasses is really cool and they are very solidly built too. They are non-polarized and feature 100% UV ray protection.
I think Ray Bans are a universally good choice without having to worry about looking trendy. Besides that the must have brands come and go.
Hey, Numerous brands are available online offering wholesale sunglasses in bulk at cheap.
Persol
Tom Ford.
I wear $10 cataract glasses for old people. They're polarized. I used to work optical and had tons of expensive glasses and lost like 10 pairs. I will not buy expensive sunglasses or earbuds.
You can browse the internet and compare, there are many good online retailers, like Leotony , Warby Parker and Zennie.
Warby, Persol, Retrosuperfuture
oakley holbrooks, polarized.
I really like Randolph Engineering (Aviator), Persol(3028s) , and Oliver Peoples(O'Malley). I have quite a few pairs of glasses, but I find myself rotating between these three pairs most often.
.
None, they don't see daylight.
Costas or MJs
Maui Jim’s
I have something like this one: Dolce & Gabbana https://www.sunglasshut.com/us/679420493732
For the three days in the year I actually get to wear them, my oliver peoples get lots of compliments
Persol, Valentino
Persol.
I especially likely the foldy up Steve McQueen ones. Tortoise shell.
I also have a pair of these and love watching people have mini panic attacks when I fold them at the center.
i wear Arabian Sunglasses https://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=arabian+sunglasses
Simple black, sometimes Top gun :D
Randolph Engineering Aviators. Exclusively.
Simply the highest quality and best looking product out there.
I mean, Jon Hamm wears them. Voluntarily.
I agree @ Wags_Wagner. I like my RE Aviators so much that I picked up the Sportsman and bought my sister a pair as well.
Nice, Sportsman are legit. I've been considering branching out to the P3 as well.
Moscot
Black Ray Bans, cant go wrong
I bought a pair of glasses and it's great.LEOTONY https://www.leotony.com//?utm_source=13.7.251
I always try to avoid glasses.
I like black sunglasses!
They like to have texture glasses, not necessarily big glasses.
I have bought one pair of polarized sunglasses named CALI at Leotony https://www.leotony.com/?utm_source=13.7.248. It is terrific and bussiness look.
Revo, Gucci, Oakley
Persol or bust. McQueen baby.
Erika by Ray-Ban.
Ray-Ban Aviators

OP O’Malley Sun (Vintage Circa 1987 collection) in 45mm. Classiest looking sunglasses ever, IMO.
