Junior Analyst

Job openings are not regularly listed on their career opportunities website. This office is currently expanding so there are positions that don't get publicly listed. Applied through campus recruiting and was invited to interview, time from application to interview was about 30 days. I was seen by 2 employees (Management and a Director for team). Both interviewers were polite and professional. One interviewer was clearly inexperienced, They compensated for this by constant stuttering, pauses, lack of knowledge about finance. (Know basic risk topics to drive the interview.) The interview lasted a little over an hour for the first section, 30 minutes for the second. Most of the questions were behavioral, there were a handful of brainteasers. Know basic accounting and valuation, some of the sources of credit risk, have a few risk ratios and coverage ratios handy etc...

The risk group sits on the same floor as sales so there is good contact if you are looking to make a move in short time to leave the back office. Would not recommend to other monkeys unless you can't get another interview.
