Portfolio Management Intern

I applied online and received phone interview invitation fairly quickly. The phone screening is quite basic: 1. Tell me about yourself. 2. Excel skills. 3. Market, especially fixed income market knowledge.

The on site interview lasted the entire morning. Upon arrival, the HR lady showed me around the building, including the gym, the dining area and others. Then it's followed by a group interview. The entire analyst team was in the interview. They have prepared question lists and evaluation/grading/note sheets. They each asked one question and rotate. They were quite friendly during the process. After the analysts' round, I talked to the two portfolio managers separately, each lasting about one hour. The PMs doesn't ask many questions. Rather, they were talking most of the time. One of the PMs is sharing his investment philosophy most of the time.

I heard back from the team in about a week and accepted the offer immediately.
