Analyst

A strange and laborious process that lasted over 3 months. Each step was very quantitative and analytical: HR screen > math/verbal tests > peer phone screen > live case study and excel test. The final step was a partner interview, which had no agenda, aside from assessing personal fit.

The process was strange because despite going through a rigorous process - that seemed to based on a majority of quantitative factors - the final rejection after the partner meeting appeared to be based off a coin flip, in terms of how arbitrary it was. Before the partner interview, there were no actual face-to-face interviews with any members of staff.

Each step of the process was not difficult per se, if anything they were more just very draining. Recruiters and partners came across as warm people, associate ranking staff very professional, albeit mechanical.
