Interview
Initial conversation occurred as a result of networking with senior members of the office. After several phone calls, spoke with the group MD, who passed me along to the 2nd round. 2nd round consisted of 3 45 minute 2 on 1 conversations, where typically the interviewers were an MD or VP and a junior analyst. Questions were almost 100% focused on personality and fit, rather than technical. Unsure if there was a 3rd round and if it contained technical elements, though am fairly certain there was not, but I did not progress past the 2nd. Typical questions, how do you work in a team, walk me through your resume, what's your working style, where can you improve, where do you think you'll need to improve, etc. Did ask about any modeling and pitching experience, but didn't press when I pointed out that I did have both.
Interview Questions
There were no difficult questions, but I would expect to understand exactly what sort of cultural fit they're looking for. Someone humble, ambitious, eager to work, and interested in credit. Don't come in pitching SPACs, for example. A lot of tell me about how you work, and where you think you'll need to improve.

1 on 1 Interview
Interview
Very straightforward process. Met with recruiters at career fair and after applying online was offered an interview. Had two 1-on-1 interviews and moved onto the super day. The super day was at the Chicago office and consisted of one behavioral and two background interviews. These were all 1-on-1 interviews and had no technical questions. The questions at the end are where you can really stand out from other candidates IMO.
Interview Questions
The interviews were nearly all resume/background interviews. I was asked to walk the interviewer through my resume and talk about my experiences and how they related to Antares. Additionally, they were asked why I was interested in Antares and leveraged lending in particular. Finally, there were a few behavioral questions in interview. These were very common such as: what type of leader are you, name a time you overcame an obstacle in a team, etc. There weren’t any difficult questions and it simply came down to being able to relay your experiences in an effective manner and having genuine answers for why Antares and why LL.

Met at career fair, then went to information session, first round was two 1on1 interviews and final round was three 1on1 interviews, no technical questions
Interview Questions
Why Antares?
Cite that they are the leader in their respective niche, middle market leveraged lending, and back it up with amount of financing commitments, whether they’ve received awards, etc.
Reference the robust deal flow as well, analysts can be on anywhere from 3-5 deals at once.
Why Leveraged Lending?
Leveraged lending provides the ability to analyze many different companies (multiple deals at once) and gives you the opportunity to look at a company two different ways. First, whether it is a sound investment and second, how much you are willing to underwrite.
