The interview process was easier than expected. Two rounds with three total interviews fully online, with the first being a short one mostly behavioral and walking through the resume. Only two technical questions were asked. The second round consisted on two back-to-back interviews, which were also mainly behavioral. The only technical questions asked were suggested valuation methods for a specific type of company and a basic explanation of FCF and enterprise value.
Interview Questions
The most unexpected question was how many people wear a tie to work every day in the US?

My Santander interview process was pretty straightforward and well organized. I first spoke with an analyst, and then had a second interview with a director. The analyst interview was more conversational and focused on my background, why I was interested in the role, and my understanding of the firm, while the director interview felt a bit more focused on fit, professionalism, and how seriously I had thought about the opportunity. Overall, everyone I spoke with was friendly, polished, and easy to talk to, and the process moved in a clear and efficient way. My impression of the culture was that it seemed professional and fast-paced, but still collaborative. My biggest advice would be to know your story well, have a strong reason for why Santander, and be prepared to speak comfortably with both junior and senior bankers since they look for slightly different things.

I came in contact with the firm through a family friend of mine, who was an analyst in FSG. He introduced me to more people on his team, and I talked to about 8 people in total. There were no recruiters for my school specifically. Regarding interviews, there there were 2 stages. Firstly, there was a 1st round: interviewed by an associate, not incredibly technical, mostly culture feel (30min). Lastly, the superday: 1 30min interview with 2 MDs (mine were within ECM and ex-CS). Superday, was paradoxically, a bit more technical and mostly behavioral and convo/Q&A stuff. I would advise the sandard/average prep, and would like to note that that would be ample. I think the culture there is really interesting: the platform is trying to grow with some ex-CS people doing strong work. Grit and hard-work prevail, with some groups leading.
Interview Questions
No curveballs. Just one question where the MD asked me something quite vague about financing options, and I didn't really understand where he was pointing. Some market knowledge stuff.

The interview process was overall smooth and very fast. I got the first round within around 2-3 weeks of submitting, and then the final round interview around 1 week later. Overall the interview was a balanced mix of both technical and behavioral questions, nothing easy but nothing too hard either. One curveball question here or there but nothing completely out of left field.

Questions about competency and motivation and why the role. Was early careers spring opportunity so interviewer was very supportive and not harsh. They did have small talk to remove nerves. Mainly asked motivation and why firm and focused a lot on that aspect, ie why the firm the role and who did I speak to that helped me come to the conclusion of applying. Questions were worded in a weird ish way to throw you off
Interview Questions
Why the firm but it was asked in a long and weird way to kind of throw you off rather than why the firm and role a lot of filler/buzz words thrown in to make question sound different and see if they can throw you off and get you to second guess into answering something different.

You need to apply to the general program on the Banco Santander website. First, you have a fit interview with an operational who's going to assess the fit. The second and final round (AC) is done with the Head of the business line you apply to. For instance Sales in France.

TMAY + discussion about background

How did you articulate your career path to get into market finance?

What do you think about the societal impact of AI and robotics in the next 10/20 years?

What is a good salesperson for you? Why do you want to be a sales ?

After web application was contacted by their HR team. Then, 2 rounds with mainly typical fit questions and a final Superday with 3 members from the team (one of them case study). Culture and people seemed nice, plus their expertise in securing energy mandates.

Technical questions were not very advanced, mainly checking general understanding and motivation about the role.

Would review basics and ensure understanding behind formulas & curate comercial awareness (deals from the office, people you have met at the firm).
