Applied through my university’s career portal and was selected for a first-round interview about two weeks later. The first round was a 30-minute on-campus interview with a VP and Associate — half behavioral questions (“Walk me through your resume,” “Why this bank?”) and half technical questions (basic accounting, valuation methods, and a simple DCF walkthrough).

A week later, I was invited to a Superday at the firm’s office. There were three back-to-back interviews with senior associates and VPs. Questions ranged from technical (FCF definition, impact of changes in working capital, and credit metrics) to situational (“Tell me about a time you had to work under pressure”). The interviews felt more conversational than I expected, and they definitely tried to get a sense of cultural fit and your ability to handle the hours.
