Investment Banking Analyst

I networked a lot with people at the firm during SA recruiting. They helped me get interviews but I didn't get an SA position through OCR, due to a combination of luck and unpreparedness. I kept in touch with contacts over the summer and a contact got me into the FT process. I was asked to rank the groups that I would be most interested in joining. I then flew out to NYC, interviewed with two groups, with about 6 or 7 people per group, and then I was asked to rank my preferences by HR. In between interviews, we had lunch with a bunch of bankers. I got my first preference when they called me with the offer roughly a week later. Then they gave me only a few weeks to accept, since it wasn't out of campus recruiting. Once I got the offer, I was called on a daily basis by people in the group, trying to convince me to join. After accepting, I was told to sign documents and complete online forms.
