Investment Banking Intern

I applied online.
I then was contacted by a Director to have a coffee at my university. We talked for about an hour about IBD, his careers, our interests etc.
I then applied for a networking dinner which was a couple of weeks later for applicants from my university.
I was offered the assessment center a while later.
The assessment center included: numerical test, group exercise, a general interview/competency interview and then a technical interview.
I planned for the interview by researching online for interview questions. The technical ones were the hardest. I had no official technical/financial education, so they asked me easier questions than the Accounting&Finance students.
I was rejected, and I was told that I didn't get through because I was not good in the group exercise.
