M&A Investment Banking Analyst - BAML NYC

Had to network heavily to get the interview (from West Coast). Found HR representatives on LinkedIn and emailed them (multiple times) until I finally got a response. Started with a phone interview with HR. I then made a trip out to NYC to meet with bankers and HR contacts I had networked with. Had a one on one interview with a senior HR representative that was essentially an extended conversation of walking through my resume and why I wanted to do Investment Banking. After it went well, she said my resume/application would be flagged for an on-campus interview. Had a one on one on campus interview with a banker from the LA office. This was a mix of technicals and past internship experience. I received a call the next day inviting me to a superday in NYC. The superday lasted about 2.5 hours and was 3 two on one interviews. The interviews with Associates/VPs were more technical and tested finance knowledge. The interviews with Directors/MDs were more fit based and assessing my motivations for wanted to join Investment Banking. The superday was on a Friday and I received a call on Monday morning with an offer.
