Production Support Specialist

A recruiter had contacted me about a role at Bank of America for a Production Support Specialist for the Quartz trading system. Not fully understanding what this position entailed I indicated my interest and my resume was submitted. A couple of weeks later the recruiter called to set up a phone interview. I spoke with someone based in London and he told me that this was a tech support role with some programming involved. He assessed my knowledge of Python and asked me what I would do to resolve an issue where an application stopped working. Having worked as a web developer in the past, I answered to the best of my ability. A couple of few days later the recruiter called and said they wanted to me to go for an in-person interview. I met with one person--a VP of support--and he explained the role and asked some more questions about resolving problems with batch files and applications. The interview lasted about one hour. About a week later the recruiter called to let me know they want to make an offer.
