What did the interview consist of?
Phone Interview
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
The HResq person contacted me after a recruiter passed along my resume. I was asked to schedule a phone interview with to individuals. Though the first few times I selected did not work, and the interview had to be pushed back a few days, I eventually secured a time in the evening. Two Associates were on the call. They asked questions mostly regarding my experiences and my interests as one could expect. They dug into my work with RE organizations and my time spent in RE internships. I feel that it went as well as I could expect. The largest issues for me were in the discussions of REITs, since I had not touched the material for a few months.

All in all, I emailed the recruiting representative and she informed me that they were moving forward with other candidates. They justified their decision to move on having to do with their abundance of candidates and their desire for more experienced (lateral) choices. Whether this is their friendly way of letting me down, I do not know.

They appeared to be a good group of people. Fairly professional and efficient. Certainly had efficient phone skills. The email correspondence at first was a bit slow and sticky, but it seems that persistence is certainly the way to get the ball rolling up hill.
