Summer Analyst

Interviewed for sophomore program. Had a phone interview with a senior person at the firm. Was asked mostly fit question, e.g. How have you worked in a team, why are you interested in this program. No technical questions. Was asked to describe the state of the economy and what govt could do to fix it. Was asked to describe a trend in an industry I expressed interest in.

Had in person superday interview a few weeks later. Met the phone interview person in person; got more fit questions; spoke about current events, e.g. policies the new mayor of NYC. Interviewed by an actual research person; I spoke about how I got interested in research and gave 1 example of a stock i virtually traded; was asked its stock ticker, annual rev, why I chose it. Volunteered to describe a dcf but was not necessary to know.
