Summer Analyst

This would be one of the best interview experiences for me. First of all everyone was really nice and friendly, good vibes all around. I got to the interview stage by initially emailing the head of HR, scheduled a 'quick chat' and spoke to her about the firm, myself and about herself haha trying to build rapport. Guess this worked well for me. Take that advice on board!

Next step was a phone interview with one interviewer present in person (i live in another city) with others on the phone. Invited to the second round interview the week after and that was a video conference. I was not flown to the actual city for interview which was weird.

Questions for both rounds were quite similar, i spoke about myself, why BAML, my work experiences, why the S&T job in particular, which desk interests me, asked about the market, why markets, pitched an investment idea and had questions in both rounds about my modelling skills.

No crazy questions of cube roots etc.
