What did the interview consist of?
Phone Interview
Please describe the interview / hiring process.
2, 30-minute phone calls one after the other. First 30-minutes 100% behavioral with time for 2-3 questions at the end. Questions included: tell me about a time you persuaded someone, tell me about a time you had to introduce change, tell me about a time you managed a team. Also situational questions: what would you do if you had 3 important tasks to complete but only enough time to complete 1, what would you do if an analyst asked to leave early, what do you think you will struggle at most with this job.
30-minute technicals included:
How to arrive at FCF from EBITDA
What would you assess in a company before providing them with loans?
Walk me through a DCF
If interest increase tomorrow, how does it affect this bank?
What is the difference between unlevered and levered FCFs?
Walk me through the sale of an asset for $80 if it had a book value of $100
