The entire process lasted just over 7 months. My initial referral came through a colleague from a prior job who introduced me to his manager. My first interview was with my friend's manager who only spent about 15 minutes with me. They did not have an opening at that time, or so he said. Over time I made a point to keep in touch and reached out a few times months to express a continued interest.

After a couple more meetings over coffees over the period of about 4 months, I was asked in for a super day. This meant somewhere between 4 and 5 hours spent with back to back interviews. Interview questions are mentioned below, but the styles really varied - some were overly technical, some purely personality and conversation based, and some where the interviewer really tried to be a hard case by continually interrupting me and challenging most any answer I gave to his questions. The "stress test" style interview was definitely the toughest part as I felt comfortable on valuation type questions.

Following the super day, I did not hear back for over one month and was convinced the interviews did not go as well as I initially had thought. Once the offer came in though, the process moved quickly from there and following some paperwork (standard stuff) and a background check, I was in my seat within 3 weeks from my offer to join.
