Barclays

The interview process of 2016 IBD Summer Analyst Program for Barclays's Hong Kong office consisted of three rounds in total. All conducted via Skype since I wasn't based locally. The first round included two 1 on 1 conversations with two Associates (tho both of them had left already next summer), one in Mandarin and the other in English. The second round process was a bit lengthy, comprising three 1 on 1 Skype interviews with 3 VPs. And the last round was three 1 on 1 Skype interviews with 3 MDs. Everybody I met from Barclays was super nice and didn't really encounter any difficult questions. Most of the questions were behavioral and simple accounting+valuation (maybe because I didn't have a typical finance/accounting background). For some interviews even, most of the time was spent on talking about hobbies/extracurricular activities. Anyway, it was overall a very enjoyable experience and the whole process did reflect a lot upon the people and culture of the firm.
