Summer Analyst

Informational interviews over the phone, was invited to office in December for informational visits which I found to be very helpful and I was given a lot of tips for the overall interview process. In mid-january I was notified that I was invited to the NY offices for a superday in one week's time. Superday consisted of 3 30-40 minute interviews with 2 directors and 1 MD. Did really well in MD one, and fairly well and average in each of the Directors' interviews. The one I did not do so well on was one director cut my elevator pitch short and told me we were going through an "exercise" He asked if I had $100 today I could keep it myself and try to grow it or give it to him and he would return it to me in one year with $110. This threw me off and he expected me to go in very deep detail as if I were a company but I focused on it more from a personal investing perspective and was dinged for it. Ended up not getting an offer
