Summer Associate Intern

I was recruiting for an summer associate position in investment banking. I did 8 informational interviews (all over the phone) in order to get my first round interview. This is because my school is not on the west coast and is not a target school so my interviews were via phone calls.

There are two rounds of interview. First round is a phone interview and second round they fly you to their office for 3 interviews with senior bankers. Its a balance of behavioral and technical questions.

The people there are really nice. Most of them are willing to speak with me when I emailed them even that I did not come from a target school. I think they have around 30-40 bankers there in a nice environment in Menlo Park. My advice for candidates is to prepare well since their questions (no matter technical or behavioral) are quite difficult.
