The hiring process consists of online application, online test, telephone interview, onsite interview.
The online application includes several questions on the motivation and knowledge of finance market. If you pass this interview, the system would arrange you with the telephone interview. In the telephone interview, most of the questions are motivational or behavioural questions, such as why barclays, how to deal with a risky decision, how to learn new things. The outcome normally will be available in several weeks, after which, you will be invited for onsite interview.
The onsite interview consists of 1 hour test, mostly on probability and linear algebra. The interviewee will provide hint, if you stuck at any particular question.
