Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Initially got into process with Barclays Menlo through director's referral and was in contact with the recruiting team at the firm. There was a total of 3 rounds. 1st call with analyst (head of recruiting), basically a screening test and asked me basic questions (why firm, why tech, etc.) 2nd round was with an associate and an analyst part of the tech team - questions included basic technicals (3 statements, valuation, DCF, WACC) and more specifically industry specific questions (recent tech deal, tech trend, and tech multiples). Super day was separated into 2 calls. First with MD: very casual, talked about interest in sports, and why Barclays. 2nd with VP: went straight into technicals (asked about IPO multiples, different traunches of debt, and stock/equity questions).
Advice: Team is overall very laid back and hardworking - all pretty chill. Make sure to have a strong reason for tech industry and know extensively about a certain trend/interest.
