Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

Interview
After applying online, you get invited to a 1:1 teams call with a senior employee, in my case it was a partner. The interview only took 35 minutes and the interviewer wanted to know about my previous internships and the tasks I had there. After that he asked me some basic valuation questions (CAPM, DCF, multiples). I got the offer one day later. The whole process from applying online to getting the offer took 2 weeks. The interviewer also cared about personal fit so make sure you don’t come off as arrogant or antisocial.

The start of the interview process was pleasant - the recruiters were courteous and kind. The issue began with the interview itself. For some reason, the recruiter had signed me up for a Tax interview as opposed to Audit (I had expressed interest in Audit). Upon noticing this about a week prior to the interview, I contacted the recruiter and let her know of the error. She said it would be okay and that the Tax Manager would be able to interview me for Audit and that she would let the Tax Manager know. Day of interview, I come into the interview and explain to the Tax Manager I was interviewing for Audit and that the recruiter said it was okay. He was outright rude to me, completely brushed me off, and ended the interview very early - by far the worst professional experience I have had. Now I work at a B4 firm though, so things turned out well for me. Very glad I didnt end up going BDO.
Interview Questions
Nothing unexpected, just a few general behavioral questions.

Interview
I was screened through someone in HR first. After the initial screening I was contacted to set up a series of I believe 3 interviews all happening on the same day. I was interviewed by 2 associates and one senior employee. The interview consisted of mostly behavioral but also some technical questions on different valuation methodologies as well as questions about my previous valuation experience. One person made me go into a bit of detail about one valuation I had previously done and asked about the specifics of that project.
Interview Questions
Tell me about your valuation project from your modeling class? What assumptions did you make? Why did you make those assumptions?

I applied online, the initial stage was screening and after that a numerical and verbal test, both were pretty standard. After that, I was offered a video interview where you are given 30 seconds to answer questions, some personality/soft skills based and others are more technical. In person 1-on-1 and group interview was the last stage of the process before an offer.

Went over resume had me talk about my work experience, then we switched to talking about academic background. After that we talked about things I do outside of college. Pretty straight forward.
Interview Questions
No questions were extremly difficult. The most difficult one was which financial statement would you use to value a company? I believe if you pick any of the 3 even if it isn't what they are looking but justify it and show your reasoning you will be fine. There isn't a correct answer it's more about showing your thought process. As long as you can show ur line of thinking and also show you know the 3 financial statements you should be fine. There was no pressure when answering the questions was quite freeform.

Interview
Applied on indeed. A recruiter reached out about a month later. Spoke over the phone then had a couple of interviews with managers.
Interview Questions
Nothing unexpected. All behavioral. The most difficult parts of the interview were: Tell me about yourself. Why Tax? Do you prefer to be detail oriented or do you look at the bigger picture. What do you know about our group. Why BDO. Tell me about a time where you had to resolve a conflict with a team member. How is your accounting. How did you hear about our firm/ how did you hear about the position. What did you do at your previous internship at _____? What do you do outside of school. Why did you choose to go into business.

Background Check
Interview
It was easy and all behavioral. Some conversations that were off topic to see if your personality fit the company, can hold a conversation, and if you meet the basic requirements of GPA and sitting for the CPA.
Interview Questions
None. There were no tricky questions. All the questions were very straight forward and generic or just a conversation. I feel like this was one of the easier interviews I went through at the time. The interviewers were very nice and personable so I never felt nervous talking to them. They never made me feel uncomfortable or judging. They were encouraging and would give me positive feedback with my responses or that they genuinely enjoyed talking to me. If only all interviews went like this and were this easy.
