Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Had initial phone conversation with a VP that lasted about 45 mins. Typical personality/behavioral conversation, "why BlackRock?" etc. My background wasn't finance in school so they asked about that and why would I look to get into it, etc. Invited me down for in-person interviews 2 days later, which consisted of 3 1on1 interviews with VPs and MDs and then concluded with a 15 min presentation in which I had to give a global market overview then pitch a stock. Received good feedback, didn't hear back for about a month or so then was contacted and brought in for another 3 1on1 interviews; 1 with same guy as before and 2 with higher-ups. Questions were same: what skills, why BlackRock, what would I do if I was given option A portfolio versus option B portfolio and why, who my favorite political figure from the past or present was and why, give examples of leadership and top strengths and weaknesses, etc
