Sophomore Summer Analyst - M&A

I applied online around January and heard back in a month about a phone interview. The phone interview lasted around thirty minutes with one of the analysts, and consisted of both fit and technical questions. The behavioral questions weren't the most standard, but instead delved into things I cared about most - there was a feeling that they wanted to get to know me, even through a phone interview. The technical questions were a bit more detailed than I'd expected from a phone interview, but that could be due to my previous work experience and coursework. I actually have not heard back from anyone since that interview in February. The HR team is not very responsive to email. The analyst I interviewed with seemed very smart and interested in mentoring the next class of interns. She helped walk me through one of the technical questions and offered assistance in future should I want to email her. Based on my experience with her alone, I feel Blackstone would be a generally pleasant place to work.
