Simply put, as a company gets more reviews, the confidence of a "true score" increases so it is pulled closer to its simple average and away from the average of the entire dataset.

The interview process started off with one generic interview for everyone. I had two people on this interview and they both were the screeners that sent me to the next round. They were chosen at random by the firm. I had an associate in SP and then someone at BXTI. After this I interviewed with 3-5 people in 3 separate interviews with each of the business interviews that I was interested in. Overall I interviewed at the associate, principal, and MD level.
Interview Questions
There were a lot of behavioral questions but the ones that caught me off guard were: if you could have a front seat to any event in history what would it be? What is your hottest take? and who is one person that you would want to have dinner with in history?

My process ended up being pretty accelerated. I had 1–2 coffee chats with members of the team, and then was moved straight to the Superday about a week later since I needed to expedite because of another offer deadline.

The Superday itself was 5 separate 30-minute interviews over the course of the day. One was more technical, but the rest were largely fit / investment judgment oriented. A lot of the conversations focused on my upcoming sophomore summer internship, why I chose it, what I was hoping to get out of it, and how I was thinking about my trajectory. Another question that came up repeatedly was some variation of, “If you had $X to invest today, where would you put it?” Definitely be ready with a detailed and well thought-out answer there. They seemed to care a lot about whether you could defend your view clearly and go a few layers deep on the rationale, rather than just throwing out a name.

Interview
Blackstone gave a IQ/Pymetrics test for all RE roles I applied for. I then went through multiple hirevue rounds where they asked basic real estate behavioral questions. Nothing technical but it seemed like most people got pymetrics test and hirevue. Simple questions like why blackstone? tell me about yourself? simple RE trends/overall market trends.

Some of the best interviews I have had. After completing the hirevue, I heard back about R1 after 2 weeks, which consisted of 1 behavioral with a principal and 1 technical with a senior asso. Those are some of the best interviews I have ever had, left great impressions, the conversations flow really smoothly as we just talked about my interest in real estate and what specific asset types I have been looking into. The principal even offered to help me out if needed which is probably how I got my Superday after 1 day. Everyone at BX is extremely genuine and super accommodating, literally the best culture on the street for sure. FYI, I'm from a semi-target, so I did some networking with people across Real Estate and got to attend the office tour through a school trek, which was probably how I managed to get past HireVue. 110/100 experience, great job, Blackstone! Advises - be genuine, know a niche asset class that is overperforming really well and understand the risks associated with your thesis.
