Very thorough process. Very smart people, emphasis on technical knowledge, but lots of fit questions as well.

Advice would be to study up on the technicals. Very heavy emphasis placed on valuation, not so much on accounting & accretion/dilution. Other important component is polish. BX analysts have a lot more responsibility than their counterparts at other banks, and they are expected to talk to clients fairly frequently. For that reason, you need to demonstrate that you're articulate, which is easier said than done. The best way I know to show them your communication skills is to answer each question clearly and concisely.

Process is ultra competitive - they'll only take 6-8 SAs each year - so be sure to remain diligent for all of your interviews. One "no" will almost definitely sink your candidacy.

Don't freak if you screw something up, it's totally normal. Keep your cool, and keep chugging along.
