Data Scientist

The interview process was relatively quick. I applied online and within a week I had the first interview with HR. I come from a target school and study Computer Science. I had 1 HR call (behavioural), and 2 technicals with people from the team. The first technical was purely python. eg: what about python is considered slow? what are ways to speed up python? Also got asked a good chunk of questions about data structures eg when to use dictionary over list, what is required for a python object to be hashable. All of the above was simple given my coursework in CS. The HR was very responsive, and while she was obviously looking for a culture fit she was nice and asked questions about my resume. The second technical interview was again with a member of DS team where they wanted to know in further detail my personal projects and asked me how I would go about developing a certain dashboard (in python) for a client. Overall the process was positive.
