Fixed Income Sales and Trading

I applied onto the career center recruiting website. I got contacted for a first round interview. It was strange since it was not a telephone interview but an actual interview. I had 2 rounds of interviews which I was not expecting. Both were alums, one was a MD and the other was an associate. The associate went first and grilled me on market data, interest rates, background, job numbers and he was really helpful. So, know your numbers such as 10 T-rate before you go to an interview because they WILL ask you for it. The associate straight up said that other people couldn't answer and I was the first one to answer all his market questions. After that, the MD interviewed me and it was more of a fit based interview. He was nice but a rather shorter interview.
