Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Recruiting began with a resume drop on campus. 30 candidates were interviewed for the first round on-campus interview. These interviews consisted of 2 45 minute interviews, which were about 10 minutes of behavioral questions, and 35 minutes of cases. The cases in the first round were straightforward, and had numerous graphs and charts. BCG look for candidates to be able to quickly interpret charts, and then creatively apply insights into actionable yet novel recommendations. Final rounds consisted of 3 45 minute interviews, with the same format. The cases were quite different, with far fewer calculations and more big-picture orientations. At this point, they expect you can handle the case, and the behavioral takes on a strong importance to find cultural fit. They're looking for accomplished, well-rounded, yet extremely humble individuals.
