Please describe the interview / hiring process.
The interview process was quite standard but keep in mind that as it is a small team, there is a lot of emphasis on fit in addition to traditional modeling/experience questions. Almost 75% of the group (from senior analyst to partner) meets with you at some stage of the process during recruiting.
Having prior experience helps, but is not mandatory. It is helpful to understand the basics of valuation (a very high level understanding of DCF/LBO/comp techniques etc. should suffice) and have good, well-prepared responses to why BBH, why it makes sense for you to come over a bulge bracket, what you plan on doing long-term, strengths/weaknesses etc. (i.e. typically standard fare).
