Summer Analyst

The interview process consisted of three rounds and was fairly straightforward overall. Most candidates start with a first-round screening through HR or campus recruiting, but mine was directly with an Associate. That round was about 15 minutes and was mostly behavioral and fit-based, with questions on why investment banking and why BGL. There may be one basic technical question, but it felt like a standard screening.

The second round was a 45-minute technical interview and was the most technical part of the process. The questions were very in line with the WSO 400 guide and covered the expected accounting, valuation, and DCF concepts without any major curveballs. If you are solid on the fundamentals, nothing should catch you off guard.

The Superday consisted of three 30-minute interviews, typically with two interviewers in each room. Interviewers ranged from Analysts to Directors. This round was a mix of technicals and behavioral questions, with a few tougher or less standard questions mixed in to test how you think through problems.

The full process moved relatively quickly and usually wrapped up within about three weeks. Heard back about 3-5 business days after superday.
