Please describe the interview / hiring process.
The interview process consisted of multiple rounds, beginning with a phone screen. About 2 weeks after I submitted the application through a university career site, I received an email about a first round phone screen. The first round phone screen was with an Associate on the team, who asked questions mostly about fit and some slight technicals related to valuation and DCF. The next phone screen was with an Analyst on the team, who asked similar valuation questions, and mostly behavioral. The final round interviews were 3 back-to-back interviews with members of the team in the office, ranging from Analyst to Principal. Throughout the process, everyone was extremely supportive and helpful, and were very clear about expectations throughout the process. The bankers were pleasant to talk to and genuinely interested in getting to know candidates. Any prospective candidates should definitely familiarize themselves with the bank's website, as well as their industry focuses and recent deals - this will show good interest in the firm and will help you stand out in interviews. Other than that, the biggest things are a willingness to learn and be a helpful and supportive member of the team.
