Interview
All in all I had interviews with people from associate to partner. In total 6 interviews ranging from fit questions to typical technical questions (e.g. DCF, LBO, comps), questions about content of NDAs, SPA (basic though), M&A process. One interview also included a case study about how to structure a buy side project (mostly checking how creative one is in coming up with "out of the box" ideas). In general, fairly relaxed atmosphere. Interview partners came across competent and likeable. In uh end I took up the offer from a larger MM boutique.

Phone Interview
Interview
I went through my school's alumni directory and contacted an MD working there. He forwarded my resume to the analyst who interviewed me. I only had 1 interview, it was over the phone, and it was completely fit. I basically just told my story, why banking, and why C.W. Downer. I had also taken the BIWS course, so they asked me to talk about that. I was supposed to hear back from them a week later for a 2nd phone interview, but I haven't heard back from them yet. From speaking with upperclassmen from my school, there are more technicals in the 2nd round (basic accounting, valuation, and simple things like that). The guy I talked to sounded pretty chill, and he said the culture at the firm was relaxed, and you get more contact with senior management because there are only 2 analysts.
Interview Questions
There weren't really hard questions (for the fit interview). I guess talking about BIWS was the hardest part.
