Please describe the interview / hiring process.
I was contacted about a week or two after being referred, and all communications were prompt and very polite. First was a phone screen- a general HR interview with the recruiter after which I was scheduled for an onsite interview lasting a whole day at their Parsippany, NJ office. The office was still under-staffed and felt a little dingy. I was taken to an interview room and my interviewers came to meet with me according to our agenda. The HR was very polite and I had access to the break room, kitchenette etc. and lunch was provided, with a partner informally interviewing me during lunch. The interviews were very unlike anything I had expected, there were no cases considering it was a management consulting firm. Micromini-cases were suddenly part of a conversation, with the major part of the interviews focusing on behavioral questions which got exhausting towards the end. The agenda included a 30-45 min written essay on one of several topics and a presentation on topic of my choice. I was also given a 2 hour powerpoint assessment, basically recreating a slide, to be completed before the onsite interview. All in all, it was an easy but exhausting interview where all the people were very polite and seemed to be doing interesting work, but had planned a whole day of just getting to know me with the same set of questions.
