I went through a multi-stage interview process at Capital One that included an initial assessment, recruiter conversations, and interviews focused on analytical problem-solving, business judgment, and case-based thinking. I successfully completed the interview process and moved into team matching, where I met with several hiring teams to explore potential role alignment. The process remained ongoing, but the main constraint was finding a suitable opening in my preferred location.

Interview
Recruiter reached out via Linkedin. Behavioral interview with the recruiter then took a general behavioral multiple choice test followed by an easy technical math test (I think given to all applicants across the company). Then had several behavioral interviews over the phone with people across treasury, including the middle office. Ended with a simple bond math case study

It goes pretty well. Two rounds of case interviews (similar to Bain's consulting interviews but focused a lot on break-even). The cases are on a variety of different topics/industries. The first round is relatively easy but the second round required a lot of logical thinking and critical thinking.
Interview Questions
The difficult questions are all about cases.

Interview
Started off with a skills test with some basic business math. next stage was a 20 question and 3 hour long excel test to basically weed out people who had never used excel at an intermediate level. Last stage was a superday consisting of 2 consulting style cases and one product interview. product interview was easy: basically was just asking what I would do to improve a company's product.

Interview
Cold applied online, got an online assessment. Waited 3 months, got an email for a first round case study interview, which was an easy break-even case. I think they were looking more for a way of thinking than the right answer anyways. Waited another 2 weeks, got a PowerDay that was 3 interviews back to back to back. One behavioral, one job fit (more relaxed behavioral) and another case study. Got a call for an offer a day later.
Interview Questions
Nothing caught me off guard, but there was a lot of scenarios where they asked about how you would look at risks and mitigants.

Started with a virtual presentation from the recruiting team informing us of an upcoming first-round mini-case interview and providing an information session regarding the process of a case interview through an example case. The case was very similar to the example, with a focus on quantitative analysis, as the use of a calculator is permitted.

Interview
A recruiter reached out on LinkedIn about a job opening, and she was very helpful. She was very upfront and transparent about the position and the hiring process, and great follow-ups in general. Did some general fit checks initially, and then coding/data skills assessments.
Interview Questions
I was asked a behavior question on teammate support and cross-team collaboration, which shouldn't have been so unexpected or challenging, but I felt like they were looking for specific answers.

Interview
Applied online. Was sent an initial OA where you had to answer some basic math questions. Afterwards was sent a 2 hour long asynchronous case study that used online google sheets and consisted of 7 questions. Had to solve each one given large data tables. Wanted you to think out loud throughout the entire process as it was all recorded.

Powerday invovled three interviews. One product business strategy interview where you talk about a product of your choosing and they ask about the drivers, how it makes money, and other fundamental analysis questions to make sure you really know what you are talking about. The next two inteviews are both case studies and examples can be found online and on their website. Involved math questions and had you think through real life examples such as how credit card payments are processed or how a trucking company operates.
Interview Questions
Asked about how to calculate credit card bad debt expenses. There are often nuances within questions that are hard to grasp at first so I would recommend taking your time when answering the math questions during the powerday.
