Commercial Banking Intern

Met recruiters on campus, followed by a phone interview of half behavioral and half technical questions. Relatively basic questions concerning evaluating creditworthiness of a potential borrower. Next had a superday consisting of three 1 on 1 interviews with people from different business lines. One interview was basic fit with the firm and going through experiences, one was situational (tell me a time when you led a group etc...). the last was a case interview which can be prepared for with resources from the company website and other basic banking case studies found on WSO. People were very friendly and open to telling more about their business line and roles. Key above all in this type of internship interview is to articulate well, be familiar with CAR Format (Context, Action, Result), and spend a couple days with case practice. Above all they look for people with energy and genuine interest to learn the business.
