Please describe the interview / hiring process.
I was referred by an existing employee who I knew from undergrad. Post-application submission + internal referral I was contacted by a recruiter for an initial phone screening. After the initial screening I was brought in for a series of interviews with SVPs across the LOB--5 interviews for 30 minutes each. The interviews were all conversational and mostly centered around explaining my prior experience coupled with with why I wanted to work for the LOB. I then heard back from the recruiter that I would receive one more phone interview. The final phone interview was with strictly behavioral questions, "tell me about a time". A week after that I received an offer via recruiter phone call. From start to finish the process took less than 3 weeks. Since then, I know my group has added a case interview to the process based on a fictional cash flow loan case. I would advise you to study up on common credit metrics, credit product types, and real estate terminology, and to have a good base level understanding of how bank's function from a business perspective. Would also emphasize that you should be able to effectively articulate why it is you want the job. The interview process was quick and professional. I accepted the offer which was contingent upon clearing a background check--no drug test. Upon passing the background test I worked with an administrator within the LOB to formalize my start date.
