Please describe the interview / hiring process.
Currently in the process for interviewing for a Unit Manager position with the Auto Finance Division. I say I am in the process because I completed the "in person" interview portion within the last week. Initially applied online via the Taleo system to several positions. Initially I was passed through for an opening in Tampa and was instructed to take their online tests. Similar to a mini GMAT. A few days later I received a call from recruiting that I passed the online assessment and was scheduled for a phone interview. ( If you do not pass the online assessment you will not get a phone interview. I believe you have to wait 6 months to take the test. I was told that once you pass the test it is valid for 2 years. This is nice considering it is very time consuming.) At the end of the phone interview ( lasted about 40 minutes) we talked about salary range at which point we both decided I was over-qualified and would be better suited for another role ( the salary was about 3k less than what I was making now which was another factor). A few months later I found a more senior role in Plano and applied. About a week after submitting my resume I was called from the recruiting team. We discussed the salary range etc which was in line with my expectations. After which I was scheduled for an onsite visit . Onsite visit consisted of two behavioral interviews and a job fit interview with the hiring manager. As stated earlier I am waiting on an offer or rejection letter. I have heard from various other boards it could take 3 days to a few weeks for an answer. I enjoyed the experience and the people I interviewed with. The customer and employees are HIGHLY valued. Every person I met with had a clear passion for Capital One and their role within the company.
