First, there was a online assessment through CodeSignal. This was a proctored exam using the GCA format (4 questions, 70 minutes, classic CodeSignal assessment format). Then I was reached out to for a Power Day interview. This is similar to a virtual onsite and consisted of 3 rounds: technical, behavioral, and case study.

The technical interview was a review of OOP and basic programming topics. Given some input, write some code to process the data and interpret it using different data structures. No algorithms were needed past basic data structures (dictionaries, tuples, etc).

The behavioral interview was a pretty average behavioral; there were some questions about Capital One and then some questions of the form "describe a situation when..." There were also some questions about my resume.

The case study interview was a way to understand how I processed information and tackled problems. There was discussion of how to go about a certain coding project/feature, the importance of testing and how to go about testing, and them some basic math/arithmetic related to that. Then they gave some coding output and had me identify what seemed off, and then gave me the code and had me fix those errors.
Interview Questions

Hirevue Interview:

I had only gotten through to the hirevue interview at this firm. If I remember correctly, the questions that were asked were:
1) Tell me about a time you failed
2) Tell me about a time where you worked in a group and you disagreed with the group
3) Why Capital One

Thats all I can remember, but I think there was a total of 5 questions. You had a minute to prepare and 3 attempts at every question.
Interview Questions
The most difficult question was: "Tell me about a time that you disagreed with members from your group" It was hard to formulate the question within 1 minute as I did not prepare for that.

I applied online and was reached out by the Recruiter for a 1 on 1 interview with the Hiring manager, he asked me questions on Statistics, Linear Regression and basic questions on Credit Modelling. Post that, I got a call for Power Day, which consisted of 5 back to back interviews containing Coding, Technical, Quant case study, role play and Business Case study rounds.
