Recruiter sent my resume. Had an initial virtual interview with a managing director, and then a second virtual interview with the head of the group. After two days, an offer was made. My advice would be to be natural, have questions prepared, and show you have an intimate knowledge of the commercial real estate industry. Very nice people.

Interview
It began with a typical phone interview from HR, asking about goals/ambitions/what I do now, that sort of fluffy stuff. The next interview was a series of 3 1v1 interviews that were not super technical but they left questions open-ened to see how technical I could get. The 3rd round was with senior management, and again was not technical to the point where I was asked to perform a DCF model, but there were some questions that an English major would have to study to be able to answer for example.
Interview Questions
How will LIBOR change affect the industry?
How would a pension fund invest differently than a PE Fund?
How do you think a family office invests different than an institutional investment fund?
Where would you put money to work right now, and thru which avenue would you raise the capital?
Why do you think cap rates are so compressed right now?
Is it better to invest in core assets or find value add projects in today's climate? And why? Be specific, or add real life examples.
Market sizing (back of napkin math) - how much would a 50,000 sqft building cost to build in downtown major metro area.
