Interview
Started with online assessment. After passing the assessment I was invited to the one way video interview where you are prompted questions on the spot and told to answer and record. After this was the on campus interview with two alums. Then invited to super day in Chicago consisting of half a day of trading simulation exercise and half a day of interviews, with a total of 6 one on one interviews
Interview Questions
Estimate the number of barrels of oil you could fit on an aircraft carrier, number of gas stations in California. Also lots of mental math and probability questions. Also some of the fit and behavioral questions were challenging. They would go in depth about asking resume related questions making sure you actually were involved and interested. I had put programming skills on my resume (was a finance major) and one quant started asking coding questions, algorithm questions, what you liked about the classes, what you didn’t like.

Interview
I applied online for the summer analyst position. Was initially rejected for the role but was extended a chance to interview later. Gave an online IQ test. I then had a phone call. After clearing that I was called to the final round to their head office. Both the phone call and the onsite interview consisted of behavioral and technical questions. The technical questions consisted of probability and statistics questions (expected value, Bayes theorem, and probability puzzles). They also had a small coding test and a market-making exercise.
Interview Questions
1. A stick is randomly cut at 2 different points. What is the probability that the three pieces form a triangle?
2. 3 mental maths questions which involved decimals and multiplication
3. A python-based coding question which involved analyzing stock data
4. Estimate the number of windows in this building
5. Estimate the length of the equator
(I had to justify my assumptions in 4 and 5)
6. Give me a theoretical explanation of Bayes Theorem. After this, he asked me to try and rephrase the theorem using a probability outcome tree

Interview
One online test followed by a phone interview, and lastly an onsite. Typical brainteasers, quant finance questions. No surprises at all. They don't care about CS skills, just mathematical ability, unlike many firms.

Nice people, very structured and thorough process.
Interview Questions
You have 27 race horses. You can race five of them at a time. You don't know what each one's time even if you race them (you only know the order in which the five horses raced ended up in). How many races do you need to make, in what order, with what horses, in order to know the top three horses overall from the pool of 27 horses? You also need to know not just which three horses these are, but their order relative to each other (who came first, second, third). Optimize your strategy to find the minimum number of races.

Interview
First step of the process was an intelligence test. Not too difficult - mostly logical word problems. After passing the test, had a phone interview. Very difficult probability/brainteasers and did not make it past this round.
Interview Questions
* You have 8 marbles. One of them weighs more than the 7 others. What is the minimum number of steps you need in order to determine the outlier?

* Dice roll gambling question. I had great difficulty understanding the interviewer and still am unsure what he was actually asking.

* A couple mental math questions. XX * XX. I nailed one of them and other there was so much noise in the background it was difficult to think.

* Talk about a time you worked on a team, where there was a disagreement and how you worked to solve it

Phone Interview
Interview
Asked mostly behavioral and mental math questions. Had two phone interviews back to back. Was not too difficult.
Interview Questions
Tell me your strengths and weaknesses. Walk through your resume. What is 5/32 expressed as a decimal. What is 7/12. What is 34*45. Overall the interview was very nice. I enjoyed talking with them. Nothing unexpected. Be yourself and will be okay. Before the phone interview there was a online video interview and iq test beforehand. Both were fairly straightforward. In the video interview you have 30 seconds to answer each question so so do quickly. They want fast thinkers at their company so do well.

Interview
It started off with an online IQ test. This proceeded to a video recorded interview followed by 2 phone interviews. This was then followed by an onsite superday which consisted of mock trading and 1 on 1 interviews.
Interview Questions
The mock trading was the most difficult. They simulated the trading floor and all the candidates had to trade against each other and against the two interviewers. During this time, the interviewers judged candidates based on speed, and aggressiveness. Overall, it was like a math test to see how fast you can calculate numbers, and personality test to see if you are aggressive making trades. Also, the 1 on 1 interviews and phone interviews consisted of a lot of mental math which I am not particularly fast at.
