applied through campus job board. Spoke with the VP of equity research in toronto on the phone for first round of interviews where she would decide at the end of the call whether to put me through to the next round. The key question was tell me why you should be chosen for this role that is not already said in your cover letter or resume.
The interview in Calgary was a circus. They flew me there on their dime (which was positive), but on the interview day, i sat with two people to start and began the interview. every 3 minutes or so, more employees would come into the conference room and interrupt the interview and sit down. this happened about 4 times until there was a total of 12 people in the room. Questions were fair, pitched a stock, clock angle brain teaser.
