Please describe the interview / hiring process.
The interview started with an introduction by the current employee I had been in touch with. I was then put through a 30 minute phone interview conducted by 3 members of the firm and later invited into their office to interview. I spoke with 3 analysts, 1 associate VPs, 2 MDs and at the end, their senior MD executive. The analysts were looking primarily for basic likability while the assocate and more junior VPs quizzed me on basic technical skills related to finance and accounting. The more senior VPs were more open and wanted to hear my pitch on why i liked their firm, wanted teh job, and my ultimate reason for desiring an IB career in Baltimore since it is not a global city.
