Please describe the interview / hiring process.
I went to my university's information session but I only made it to the Networking part. I approached one lonely gentleman that stood by the S&T sign and introduced myself. Turns out he is the Head MD in Cash Equities. Made conversation with him and told him about my internship experience. As a result, he asked me to send him my information.

I messaged him right after the event and he forwarded my name to the recruiter. Two days later I got first round interviews.

First Round:
Two people interviewed me. Questions were very technical as they asked me about VWAPs and Icebergs. It was also about how you understood the market rather than "what is the S&P trading at right now?". Almost no behavioral questions.

5 days later I got a call for final round. They invited me for a cocktail reception on the 56th floor of the building. I met the other applicants in IB and CCP. There were a total of 50 people. The interview was the next day at 8 am. I am sure they were watching your every move during this night.

Final Round:
21 people were in a room as they took us one by one into the rooms surrounding the trading floor. We had 2 back-to-back interviews with 2 MDs per room. The questions progressively become harder. They ask you very situation based questions and they try to intimidate you and disagree with you on purpose to see if you have frail nerves. Some technical questions, some basic S&T questions and they just want to see how you differentiate yourself from everyone else.

Overall, I had a good experience, I have yet to hear back from them since they interviewed me yesterday. Although, they try to intimidate you, it is just a test. In general people are very welcoming and they like to give a lot of advice. I also like that they pay attention to everything you have to say. I hope I get an offer!
