Quantitative Research Intern

Originally seemed very promising. They wanted me to properly get to know members of their team, and how great their work was.

They were really trying to sell me on the job (I come from a strong target school, and have good academic and research performance). The interview was very simple technical questions.

However, they asked me if I seeked to view the interview process as if I was applying for a full time or intern post. And I said intern, as that was what I was applying for, and didn't know enough to want full time (I didn't say this part). They dropped me from consideration immediately after, and didn't give any details as to why.

Glassdoor reviews suggest that this isn't the only case of behavior like this.
