Creador is a private equity firm focused on growth capital investments in South and Southeast Asia, primarily Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, India, and also in Sri Lanka. The firm has offices in Malaysia, Indonesia, India and Mauritius.

Established in 2011 by Brahmal Vasudevan, the firm has raised close to $900 million of investor commitments across 3 private equity funds since the inception. The firm invests in various industries including financial services, consumer durables, retail, F&B, pharmaceutical, healthcare, media and business services

Creador Sdn. Bhd. said in a July 11 SEC filing that its Creador IV LP unit is targeting US$550.0 million of equity.

In addition, Creador IV raised US$430 million at the close of the first fundrasing round, according to a July 6 DealStreetAsia exclusive. It added that the fund's final close is expected in October.

Media reports from January said the Kuala Lumpur-based private equity firm will use the fund to invest in Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore and India. Creador IV is its fourth fund that focuses on the Southeast Asia and India regions, and its predecessor funds closed at US$130 million, US$330 million and US$415 million, respectively.
